Big thanks to Kelly Cooks for sharing this amazing recipe with us! These Japanese Beef Cubes are super easy and quick, taking only 10 minutes to whip up. You’ll get tender, flavour-packed beef paired with a delicious soy-wasabi sauce that adds just the right amount of savoury heat!
INGREDIENTS
- 200g The Meat Club Eye Fillet (beef tenderloin)
- 1 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 1/4 tsp wasabi
- Spring onion, to garnish
PREPARATION
- Slice the beef into 1-inch cubes for bite-sized portions. Pro tip: Beef tenderloin or eye fillet is already tender, so no need for tenderising. You can also go for wagyu beef as an alternative.
- Heat up some oil in a pan until it’s sizzling hot. Add the beef cubes and cook all sides until they turn a beautiful brown colour. This should only take about 2 minutes. Set them aside.
- Whip up the sauce by mixing light soy sauce, mirin, and a hint of wasabi. Drizzle this delightful sauce over your beef cubes.
- Pair it with some rice, sprinkle on some fresh spring onions, and you’re good to go! Enjoy your meal!
