The Meat Club beef strip burritos



Mexican at home just got an upgrade. These burritos can be prepared as you would homemade, DIY tacos. Throw all the ingredients on the table and let everyone prepare their own, to their liking!

Carrotsticks and Cravings Cook Book


  • 250grams The Meat Club beef strips
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil (EVOO)
  • ½ brown onion
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 yellow bell pepper
  • 2 cloves crushed garlic
  • 1 fresh chilli (small or large depending on spice preference)
  • 1 tbsp sweet paprika
  • 1 tbsp chilli powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • Sea salt and cracked pepper
  • 2 cobs of corn
  • 1 clove crushed garlic
  • ½ red onion
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • ¼ cup goats cheese or ricotta
  • Juice 1 lime
  • Sea salt and cracked pepper
  • 2 truss tomatoes
  • 1 cup black beans
  • ½ cup cooked brown rice
  • zest of 1 lime
  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander
  • Wholegrain wraps and avocado to serve


  1. Add sliced onion to a pan with EVOO, garlic and chilli and sauté until onion is almost soft.
  2. Add beef strips and spices and cook until beef strips are cooked through – don’t over cook them!
  3. Remove corn kernels from the cob and sauté with diced onion, paprika and garlic in a separate pan until corn is golden.
  4. Remove from heat and stir through the goats cheese, salt, pepper and lime juice.
  5. Mix together diced tomato, rice, black beans, lime zest and coriander.
  6. Serve everything in separate bowls for people to make their own burritos, just like you would tacos.
